Who: Dawn, Faith, Spike, & Open to anyone! (AI, etc)
Where: Random streets
When: Evening after Faith & Dawn got to town
Status: Incomplete

Dawn was confused. Vampires-monsters-existed, and her sister was supposed to be fighting them. But here they were, accepting help from a vampire...to find a second one? She also had no idea what they'd be doing when they found this 'Angel' guy. She got the distinct feeling from both Faith and Spike that something bad was going to happen. And she wasn't sure how she felt about that. Was he a bad guy? Is that why they were going?

Not that Dawn didn't want to go,  of course. She was thrilled to be with her sister again, after so many months of not knowing where she was or if she was even alive. All she wanted now was to spend time with her...no matter what they did, to be honest.

So she decided to just ask. As the three of them walked along-and she'd noticed that they were both on either side of her-she looked up at Spike, then at Faith. "So....who's Angel? And why are we looking for him?"

Faith really should've not let what was happening get this far. If she were thinking straight, which was difficult for her to do anyway, she would know she just needed to skip town with Dawn. Instead, her need for revenge for what Buffy and her stupid friends did was blinding her with slowly burning rage. And unfortunately for Angel, he was going to be the first to get it.

Even if it meant enlisting the help of William the Bloody who was walking on the other side of her sister. Dawn shouldn't be here. She should be tucked away somewhere safe - but where? Faith learned to trust no one and that especially meant trusting someone to take care of her sister. While she wasn't thinking straight, she still knew Dawn was an innocent in all this and she had to protect her.

When her sister asked the $1 million dollar question, Faith glanced over at Dawn. "Angel is someone ya' don't gotta worry about," she told her. "Lemme deal with him, kiddo, okay? He did me wrong, and no one gets away with that. Just trust me, okay? Trust that I know what I'm doin'." Even if she kind of didn't. "We'll get through this. Just gotta finish some business then we'll leave this shithole of a city. Maybe hit up Vegas or somethin'? That'd be cool, right?"

Dawn looked up at Faith again when she mentioned that Angel had given her a wrong turn, and she felt herself flare up with anger. How dare he do that! She was as fiercely protective of Faith as Faith was of her, and she didn't like the thought of anyone doing anything to her. When Spike spoke up, she glanced over to him.

"You know, I can take care of myself. I did just travel two thousand miles alone." And, okay, there had been a few scary moments-a lot, actually-but they weren't really things she was going to tell anyone about. Ever.

Glancing back to Faith, she continued. "I want to help."

"You can't help, kiddo," Faith told Dawn upfront. "It's way too fuckin' dangerous. Once they know you're with me, they're probably gonna try to take you away. I ain't lettin' that happen." She rubbed the top of Dawn's head as she glanced over at Spike. He had a point in some way. While she was trying to take down Angel, there would be danger most likely, and she would need someone to look over her.

It just wasn't settling well that she would have to turn to a vampire to do so. Then again, when she worked for Wilkins, as long as you threatened them all proper, they would do what you said to keep their own ass alive. "Let's just find the bastard first and then deal with it when we cross that bridge."

As Spike resembled something to caring about Dawn, Faith still focused more and more as they drew closer to wherever Spike was taking them. Her body was tense, ready for the fight. She was more than ready to make sure Angel got what was coming to him. He had made her feel like she could trust him, that they were on the same page...

... when all Angel wanted was to see her go down. Bastard.

"Hey, blondie, are we fucking there yet or what?" she asked, irritated.
